Situated this year alongside the stage in the Logan Campbell Centre, the Discover Boating Centre is a great place to find out more about boating, how to get into boating and how to enjoy boating more.
The Discover Boating Centre will again feature the Hutchwilco Pool and a full programme of activities including a kids' fishing competition, colouring contest, fishing advice, tips on kayak fishing, rock fishing and fishing the Hauraki Gulf and the chance to win some great prizes!
Derek cooks up a storm!
Don't miss the opportunity to see top seafood chef Derek the Chef in action throughout the show at the new Carlton Bar.
Derek will be giving regular cooking demonstrations, showing the best ways to prepare and cook a huge variety of seafood - and there will even be the chance to taste some of his great dishes. Definitely not to be missed!
Ask the Experts
The Top Catch Ask the Experts is back again in the new Haurkai Fishing Hall (Hall 1).
This is a great chance to ask some of New Zealand's top fishers for advice on how to improve your gamefishing, soft baiting, kayak fishing, jigging, trolling, popper casting, etc.
The advice is all free and it's available right through the show on the Top Catch stand in the Hauraki Fishing Hall.

Looking to get into boating but not quite ready for a brand new rig? Check out the great selection of premiere Class 2nd-hand boats on display in the arena (just in front of the grandstand). All the boats are in top condition and are available for sale right at the show!
