A whole new look!
Regulars visitors to the show will be in for a big surprise because the 2010 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show has a whole new look!
The popular Hauraki Fishing Hall is now in Hall 1 and bigger and better than ever; the Discover Boating Centre and the Hutchwilco Pool have moved to the Logan Campbell Centre, right in front of the stage and the Carlton Bar (complete with Derek the Chef's sumptuous seafood demonstrations and tastings) is now handily situated right off the main walkway.
Hiwi the Kiwi and the Minstrel
Come and meet Hiwi the Kiwi at NZ Sport Fishing Stand and see the Minstrel perform his incredible show.

It's great fun for all the family and there are also lots of fun competitions to enter with lots and lots of great prizes.
There will be miniature fishing contests, the chance to have a go at game fishing on one of the simulators (there's one for adults and another for the kids) and the chance to see some of your sporting heroes (from the Warriors and the Blues) battling it out.
Fisherchick Haven

This year's show will also feature a special “haven” for female fishers.
The Bayfisher Fisherchick Haven will feature top female anglers such as Bayfisher's own Paula Trubshaw and Clare Power, Shewee’s Jude Dentice, Ngaire Dalton from the Rockstars Fishing Club and many more.

This special new area will also feature some of the latest products for female fishers and Fisherchick Starter Packs for those new to the sport.
Feel (and hear) the power!

The Grand Prix hydroplane, G-Force will really make its presence felt at the show as, twice a day, owner Graeme Weller fires up the big 510 cubic inch blown injected Chev V8 engine.
The current holder of the Australasian Unlimited AE Baker trophy, G-Force is capable of an eye-bursting 190mph!
See the Com Sub!

Check out the fully refurbished Com Sub on the Dive NZ Magazine stand in the Hauraki Fishing Hall (Hall 1) and get in the draw to be one of the first to ride in the soon to be launched new Q-Sub! (Get an additional chance to win simply by buying an annual subscription to the Dive NZ magazine).
Row for Prostate and win!
It was an incredible feat. In order to raise awareness (and money) for one of the biggest killers of males in New Zealand, four Kiwis (Matthew Hampel, Billy Gammon, Tom Wigram and Pete Staples) rowed across the Indian Ocean.
It was a gruelling experience, rowing 2 hours on, 2 hours off for 81 days and covering 3,100 nautical miles.
This is your chance to show support for their remarkable endeavour and win some great prices into the bargain.

See how far you can row in 31 seconds; the best male and female contestants over the 4 days of the show will each win a Fujifilm Finepix XP10 water- and shock-proof digital camera worth $400 and all entrants will also go in to the draw to win a Telecom mobile of their choice and $1000 worth of free credit.

Win a 2000hp ride

This is a very rare opportunity to win a true "money can't buy" experience.
Four times World Jet Boat River racing Champion Marrk Cromie is inviting one lucky show visitor to sit beside him as he competes in this year's Bridge to Bridge race on the mighty Waikato River!
Mark is one of this country's top jetboat racers. He has been racing for over 30 years, holds the record for the fastest ever time in the Bridge to Bridge Race and record for several other New Zealand rivers. He also holds the New Zealand Jet Boat Speed Record (a blistering 203.6km/hr or 110 knots!).
