  • Yamaha F250 V6 DES Offshore Series 4-stroke outboard

  • So much more….

The 30th Anniversary Surtees 750 Game Fisher:

The 30th Anniversary 750 Game Fisher will truly be one to treasure. Built to acknowledge the birth of Surtees Boats in 1993, the special Limited Edition models celebrate the year when Neil Surtees decided to design and build himself an aluminium boat for fishing off the rough coast of Whakatane. His design, and its soft ride across the town’s notoriously rough bar, instantly created strong demand from other fishing locals, keen for one of their own.

Celebrating that beginning, and the 30 successful years since, the 30th Anniversary Grand Prize features an eye-catchingly elegant and stunningly distinctive blacked-out hull, comes with a stylish golden shimmer from bow to stern, high quality golden decals on the hull, cabin and bait station and a special 30th Anniversary golden badge on the transom.

It will, of course, also come complete with the company’s renowned Surtees SiQ™ technology package. Giving both greater stability (at rest and underway) and better handling in a wide range of conditions, Surtees SiQ™ includes Surtees Razortech™ smooth riding hull, Anti-Roll™ ballast stability control with Anti-Roll Lock™, Tough Deck™ super rigid hull construction, Safety Buoyancy airtight flotation compartments and Surtees’ 10-year hull warranty.

Built to fish, the Grand Prize 750 Game Fisher has been designed specifically for extended offshore cruising, with a large, 400-litre fuel tank, 530 litres of water ballast for even greater stability both underway and at rest, an 80-litre fresh water tank, electric hot water shower and sink, Engel electric fridge, an electric toilet and ample ventilation in the well-appointed enclosed cabin.

Like all Surtees boats, this 30th Anniversary Surtees/Yamaha Grand Prize has been built to fish. Its large, uncluttered cockpit is complimented by a live bait tank under a handy walk-through transom to an enclosed platform, with protective pushpits for safer fishing in offshore waters and a robust boarding ladder for fishers and divers. With four rod holders, a handy tackle drawer and ski pole, the stunning Surtees bait station will be complimented by numerous other rod holders, in both the side decks and rocket launcher and in a 4-rod clip-on shelf holder.

Yamaha power and control:

Powering the 2023 Grand Prize is a Yamaha F250 V6 DES Offshore series engine. Employing the very latest technology to deliver next generation control, integration and styling (and Yamaha’s original trademark reliability), it incorporates technological advancements previously only seen on Yamaha’s flagship V8 425hp XTO models. Delivering serious offshore grunt, the new 250hp 4-stroke V6’s 4.2 litre engine has been designed to be completely integrated into the boat’s power, steering and control systems with built-in Digital Electric Steering (DES) delivering extreme precision and smoothness.

Ensuring that the Grand Prize winner is in total control all of the time, Yamaha’s industry-first, game changing Helm Master EX boat control system makes it super-easy to navigate to those chosen destinations and, once there, gives a whole new level of control, enabling the skipper to precisely manoeuvre the boat exactly where and how they want.

With its simple-to-use joystick control and every component designed, engineered and manufactured by Yamaha, Helm Master is a simple, clean and fully integrated, plug-and-play system that ensures more time on the spots where the fish are biting and less time setting up, anchoring and trying to fine-tune the boat’s position.

GFAB Trailer:

The 2023 30th Anniversary 750 Grand Prize comes on a GFAB tandem axled trailer specifically designed and built for the Surtees 750 Game Fisher.

Rated to 3500kg GVM, it comes with a Credo, in-cab wireless braking system, which enables safe braking from any suitable tow vehicle, without the need for specific hard-wired systems to be installed. Innovative UniHubs with a sealed wheel bearing mean regular bearing re-greasing is not required, an electric winch delivers effortless retrieval and 13″ satin black alloys on high capacity tyres (along with a mounted spare) are complemented by a checker plate alloy half walk board that runs down the centre of the trailer, making it easy to connect the winch to the boat.

There is also a fully stainless Boat Catch system to make it easy to launch and retrieve by just one person. Like all GFAB boat trailers, the Grand Prize’s will come with an impressive 12-year chassis warranty.

Garmin Electronics:

The 2023 Surtees/Yamaha Grand Prize will be equipped with a full suite of Garmin electronics, valued at over $20,000!

Gracing Surtees’ stylish new dash, the award-winning 16inch Garmin GPSMAP 8416xsv (NMEA Excellence Honours) will be matched to a cockpit-mounted 9inch GPSMAP 953xsv remote screen that is easy to keep an eye on while fishing.
