Village and Bays Tour
Gain an entertaining insight into New Zealand’s southernmost community and learn about the history and environment of Rakiura Stewart Island. Our local guides enjoy sharing their knowledge of the area, while you stop for plenty of photos and short walks.
Ulva Island Guided Tour
Visit the renowned wildlife sanctuary Ulva Island for a guided trail through the bush, where you’ll be looking out for residents such as weka (native woodhen), bush robins, rare saddlebacks, yellowheads, and other birdlife. We’ll cruise you to the island, showcasing some of Paterson Inlet’s stunning scenery with hidden coves and unspoilt beaches. You’ll hear fascinating nature knowledge and stories of early Maori history and European settlement from your guide.
2 nights accommodation at the Stewart Island Lodge
A peaceful and intimate Bed and Breakfast to relax in while providing spectacular views of Halfmoon Bay and Foveaux Strait. Comfortable and a great base for your island exploration, it’s just a five-minute walk from the village centre with shops and a pub. Kick back in one of the six guestrooms that open directly onto an expansive terrace and gaze out at the ocean and the native birdlife.
Return Stewart Island Ferries
Experience Foveaux Strait onboard our express catamarans, ferrying you from Bluff to Rakiura Stewart Island in an hour. Look out for wildlife, especially mollymawks (albatross), as they can soar behind the ferry, and spot landmarks including Dog Island Lighthouse, Ruapuke Island, the Titi Islands and Mt Anglem – Stewart Island’s highest point.
Return flights to Invercargill
The package includes return flights from your nearest airport to Invercargill for two adults.
